A total of seven (7) students from Mindanao State University’s (MSU) General Santos Campus have signed up to undertake the preparation of information materials such as Project Briefs for DTI NERBAC 12 for the 1st Semester of SY 2013-2014.

The students, all 4th Year Economics students from the state university’s College of Business Administration and Accountancy, will undertake the preparation of Project Briefs in lieu of the regular On-the-Job-Training (OJT) Program of the said institution. The students will be tasked with research work zeroing in on business opportunities in Region 12 that have ready markets, as gleaned from the office’s Supply Management through Investments for Large Enterprises (SMILE) Program. The current Project Briefs are culled from the region’s various existing industries, namely: agriculture, food processing, product consolidation and distribution, services, and establishment of processing plants/bio-diesel plants.

The Project Brief Preparation is in line with a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed between DTI 12 Regional Director Ibrahim K. Guiamadel and MSU College of Business Administration and Accountancy Dean Dr. Peelbar F. Salarda, together with their officers Dr. Beethoven Morales, Chair of the Department of Economics, Management and Marketing, and Prof. Marissa G. dela Cruz, as well as DTI 12 Asst. Regional Director Dorecita T. Delima.
